Department for Children Schools and Families

The Department for Children Schools and Families (DCFS) website www.teachernet.gov.uk/wholeschool/sen/parentcarers contains answers to key questions:

• What are Special Education Needs (SEN)?

DCFS produce a guide for parent/carers. This guide can be downloaded, it aims to help you understand:

• What you can do if you are worried that your child may be having difficulties

Contact a Family

This is a national charity for families with disabled children, providing advice, information and support to the parents of all disabled children - no matter what their disability or health condition.
